It has a brown color and is an economical mulch for large areas or slopes. Single Shredded Hardwood This mulch consists of hardwood bark which is well shredded. Nice dark brown color and a good choice for slopes or erosion areas. Double Shredded Hardwood This is a double-ground hardwood bark material that has a dark brown color and fine texture. An excellent mulch around flowers and perennials. Dyed Red Hardwood Red Mulch is a recycled wood mulch made from shredded wooden pallets. The mulch is dyed red with non-toxic, biodegradable vegetable dye. This is a beautiful and long lasting mulch. Dyed Brown Hardwood Dyed Brown Hardwood is also made from pallets and the dye is a non-toxic, biodegradable vegetable dye. This color is preferred by some for a more natural look. Dyed Black Hardwood Dyed Black Hardwood is also made from pallets and the dye is a non-toxic, biodegradable vegetable dye.
